Hello, I’m Jenny and I love to plan! People are at the heart of what I do, and getting to know my clients, understanding their dreams and sharing in these countless, precious moments is a true privilege.
Following my career managing weddings and events at a 5* resort, I decided to offer a more personal and individual approach, achieving my ambition as an independent planner in 2013. Now, with years of experience, I have delivered many high-end, breathtaking weddings and events with challenging briefs, working with clients from all over the world. Covering both intimate and elaborate, weekend-long weddings, – the kind that earn their place in people’s memories, forever reminisced about in conversations around the dinner table.
Having lived in Cornwall all my life, I know how lucky I am to be in such a beautiful corner of the world. From beach retreats to cliff-top hideaways, hotel havens to stately homes, every wedding-day dream can be discovered here. My local knowledge and established network of contacts allows me to work with the county’s most elite and talented people in the industry, building the perfect team of professionals to deliver your flawlessly planned event. I am an accredited member of the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners and and proud to be a recommended planner for many wedding venues in Cornwall.
I am detail obsessed – I have been told my wedding day running orders look like military operations! I believe the key to creating an incredibly special wedding lies in the blend of infusing personality and thoughtful preparation. Nothing brings me more joy than after months of planning together, seeing how relaxed and at ease my couples are on the day, enjoying every precious moment. In the gaze between a groom and his bride, the proud dad holding back tears, on the faces of open-mouthed little flower-girls and in the eyes of newlyweds who’ve just said, “I do,” lies something so special and meaningful. It would be an honour to help you capture these priceless moments in time – and that’s what I love the most. It’s my raison d’être, my purpose, my passion!
On the days I’m not running weddings, events or planning in my office, you’ll find me walking on the beach, surfing or spending time with my husband.
Maisie Cook- Wedding & Event Planner
Hello, I’m Maisie, I love creating the perfect day! Attention to detail and bringing a couples’ unique style to life is my passion. I always knew I wanted to be a wedding planner and help be a part of creating pure happiness.
I started working for Jenny over 3 years ago, whilst completing my Creative Events Management degree at Falmouth University. During my course I gained essential knowledge of the logistics and planning required to run a successful event. These skills were put to practice over the years, enabling me to develop excellent organisation, the ability to problem solve and gain professionalism when working alongside external stakeholders. My dissertation combined my interest of sustainability within weddings, I care about creating lasting memories for our clients in a way that leaves minimal impact on the beautiful Cornish environment. If possible, I incorporate this into the wedding planning process, without compromising on quality and style of course.
Working for Jenny has allowed me to experience some exquisite weddings that I will always remember. I often tell people that I have the best job I could want. It is rewarding, enjoyable, challenging and different every day. No wedding is the same and is made all the more spectacular by being set in some of the most picturesque locations which are so meaningful to all our clients. Most of all, working with Jenny is incredible, not only to learn from her experience but it’s also like working with my best friend. We share the same passion for perfection and detail, along with many other things in life, and I couldn’t think of anyone more caring, fun, enthusiastic and talented to have by my side.
Styling is my favourite element, from sourcing the best local suppliers, finding stylish decor to adhere to the brief and not stopping until I find the perfect fit is all part of a working day at JW HQ. With a background in art and textiles, I often suggest tailormade, unique options to make any dream become a reality… if we can’t source something, we’ll make it!
On a wedding day, you’ll probably find me dressing the marquee, styling the tables, making sure not a single detail is missed ready for the big reveal. Working closely with our couples in the lead up to ensure all is to their taste and offering my personal opinion when required to tie together any remaining elements. Years of previous experience in the catering industry has enabled me to gain an understanding of table layout, accessibility and streamlining service behind the scenes, which comes in handy.
In my spare time I love exploring coastal paths to uncover idyllic secluded spots. Cornwall has a huge piece of my heart, I am so lucky to live and work in such a beautiful place
